REALY????? THAT LONG!?Hi all.
I can hardly believe it has been 5 months since I blogged the last time. That doesn't even seem decent.
I have been around your spaces not saying anything, sort of keeping up. That seems rude to me, kind of like ringing your
doorbell and running. But I keep coming back to spaces. I think it sort of got into my blood or something.
A lot has happened since April.
As I wrote before, Mom injured her back in November. She is still not back up to full power, but we are confident
that she is healing, slowly but surely. Back injuries can take a while. I don't think any of us figured it would take quite
this long though. She has had other health issues come up. It seems like if you are weak in an area, other things can affect
you also. She has not had the flu though. For that we are also grateful. A couple of weeks ago we went to a bar-b-que where
we think she got a touch of food poisoning. Funny how that can work too. I was right behind her in line and my
food seemed fine. I wasn't bothered at all, but she started having 'tummy issues' almost as soon as the food hit her stomach.
It was a public celebration, and it has happened to her before. I think maybe we should avoid them from now on.
As you can see, my comp is still up and running. It has been doing pretty well since the crash. My sister reformatted it for me
and even things that wouldn't work work pretty good now. I find sometimes it freezes a lot, but I am not convinced it is all the
computer. I even have my smiley's back.
See ...
There is this annoying pop up however. It says I need virus protection and then it tells me all
the horrid things that are attacking my computer, and I know it is bogus. I have excellent protection on here, but I can't figure out how to
get rid of it. It doesn't seem to be listed in my programs anywhere. I have no idea where it came from. Other than dealing with that,
everything seems to be in working order. I belong to a club called Royal Purple. It is a community/charity group and they installed me
as their secretary for a year. It has been a learning experience for me in many things, but I
do think I'm starting to get it.
They are very good with me when I make mistakes. No one gets bent out of shape, except for me that is.
And they are very good about answering my questions and helping me when I need it. After I have been at it a year
I should have a pretty good handle on it I think.
In June I was able to attend my Franchises convention and I had an absolutely wonderful time. It was full of teaching
and training and good company and good food. They gave each of us a 'goody-bag' worth over $100.00 of
products. I got to see some people that I communicate with via cyber-space and ofcourse my manager/president/friend Norma.
She's a great lady to have on your side. And, I even got to meet the president of the company. I will remember that day for a long,
long, long time to come.
I am still doing most of the cooking. This is going to sound weird, but I think I'm getting better at it. And I did
find a recipe for carrots that everyone seems to like, especially me.
Now I am still looking forward to the day when houses will come equipped with drive-thru windows and
kitchens will be a thing of the past, but still ... I can't complain. I hardly burn anything anymore.
Except for rice and chicken. It must be a gift.
My nephew Shaun has had his first book published and he is now working on his second, he and his brother Steven purchased a home
together and my other nephew David won 3rd at his moto-cross race last month. We got to go, and I really enjoyed myself. He was
afraid I would find it too loud. It was, and I loved it. It was very cold that day though, but it warmed me up to see him win.
I have been playing around on Facebook. A lot of my friends from spaces are my friends there also. Isn't it amazing how
we kind of gravitate toward one another, even tho we have never met each other in person?!
Amid all the day-in-day-out routine, I seem to have been very blessed in many ways. I guess that's what life is. The day to day
things, one step at a time that leads to the 'wow' moments.
I saw someone live their life in such a way to make every thing a spectacular, exciting event. We don't as a general rule live from
one exciting event to another. But the good part is in the routine. It seems to get dull and boring but, it's secure. I think you know
what I'm saying.
I hope that you all have a very Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving, and that you will remind yourselves more often
of everything that has been given to you that is special to you, especially the 'everyday' things.
God bless.
Luv from KassyLand ....
